Aprovechando que viene la Navidad hemos hecho unas bolitas para decorar nuestro árbol y para trabajar los números anterior y posterior con numerosos juegos. Es muy importante aprender de una manera lúdica y divertida.
Esta tarea la hemos hemos dentro del proyecto E-twinning.

Unit 6. The area where we live. 4th grade

Christmas!
Christmas is fast approaching and only around the corner but students at San Miguel are still learning and working hard! This week in Science, 6th Grade have started the topic of reproduction. Now, at times this can be quite an embarrassing topic for us all to learn, but 6th grade have shown a really mature attitude and have been enjoying the various activities that we have done in class together. Lots of giggles as well as lots of learning!
Each student made a vocabulary flipbook. This is an excellent way to learn and practice new vocabulary in English. It's also a great way to revise! If you forget the word in English, you even have the Spanish reference inside too! Take a look, what do you think of our flipbooks?
Next week the students will take part in a Science Quiz to see how much they have learnt about this unit! Who do you think will win the quiz? The boys? Or will it be the girls? We shall have to wait and see!

Unit 5. Ecosystems. 4th grade.
Hoy comenzamos la unidad 5 de Conocimiento del Medio. En ella estudiaremos los ecosistemas, sus tipos, la relaciones que existen entre sus componentes así como las medidas que hemos de tomar para su protección.

eTtwinning
Estimadas familias,
les informamos que nuestro cole, como centro bilingüe participa en el E-twinning con distintos proyectos que les vamos a describir.
Existen tres Proyectos de E-twinnnig integrados en el proyecto de Biligüismo.
1. “In the country of Mathematics”, coordinado por Dª Esther Ruíz Martínez del 1er ciclo
2. “Taste CLIL 2.0” coordinado por Dª Carmen Yolanda Egea Bernet del tercer ciclo y
3. “Taking Steps to a Better School”, coordinado por Dª Lucía Úbeda del tercer ciclo.
Los tres proyectos integran trabajar en distintas áreas curriculares tareas propias con las mismas, el desarrollo de metodologías innovadoras por la red de profesorado europeo, el desarrollo de la lengua extrajera, el uso del Twinspace, la divulgación en red y las TIC dentro del aula.
En estos proyectos trabajarán nuestros alumnos, en diferentes temáticas que les iremos mostrando mediante este blog. Son proyectos muy motivadores, dinámicos y pedagógicos.
El proyecto del 1º ciclo “In the country of Mathematics” va a estar relacionado con centros de interés u objetivos que trabajamos dentro del área de Matemáticas.

| Revision posters with 5th Grade! |
With 1st grade we reviewed everything they have learnt about the 5 senses. They are now experts! They too made some colourful 3D posters about the different kinds of materials we can feel. In class we did a fun activity where the students had to guess the smell, they really enjoyed themselves and managed to name all the different scents correctly!
Finally this month ended with Halloween! It was a great day, full of various activities as well as traditional Halloween activities, such as apple-bobbing, which provided an opportunity to learn new English vocabulary in a fun way. The 'What can you feel?' boxes enabled students to practice their descriptions! The costumes looked fantastic and the activities were thoroughly enjoyed by both the staff and students.
