The Very Hungry Caterpillar

We had a very special day together reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar. 

We learned about the days of the week and counting.

I read them the story outside and they were all showing me how good their listening skills were.

At the beginning of the story the caterpillar is a tiny egg on a leaf. He is very hungry and eats through many different types of food. He grows large and fat and builds himself a home called a cocoon. 

Finally, he turns into a beautiful butterfly! 

After, the children made and colored their own books.
