Spring Solstice

Spring is finally here!

Flowers are blossoming and the sun is finally coming out to play. We hope to see lots of rainbows, flowers and sunshine!

As we prepare for Easter holidays, here are some interesting links, songs and printables you can use to learn more about spring.

Poems are a great way to learn about new vocabulary.

Plant & Animal Cell Presentations

In the 5th grade class, the did presentations on cells they had constructed out of clay.

They talked about the different parts of the cells such as the nucleus, membrane, cytoplasm, chloroplasts, organelles and the cell wall.

They showed us the difference between a plant and animal cell.

This was a great way to visually learn about the cells.

Lovely presentations, students!

Vertebrates and Invertebrates in 3rd grade

In our 3rd grade class we have been learning about vertebrates, invertebrates and the different classifications of animals.

Did you know a fish is an amphibian, a snake is a reptile, and a deer is a mammal?

Humans are also mammals, we are viviparous meaning we come from our mother´s womb. Oviparous animals produce eggs that hatch from the female´s body.

Our class made beautiful, colorful photos of different animals to help us learn & understand their characteristics! We decorated the windows of our classroom with our drawings. On the front is a picture of the animal and the back is a list of characteristics.

Thank you students of 3rd grade!
